Real Christians or false believers, which are we? The Bible speaks of Sheep and Goat nations. Which term describes your nation? Will you be found on the right side of history? These are important questions especially in these End Times, with the ongoing Israel-Hamas war and growing anti-Semitism.
Tens of thousands of Pro Palestine protesters have been marching on the streets of London for weeks. There has been much written about how inappropriate this is, especially on Armistice Day when the British People remember their war dead. The fromer UK Home Secretary, Suella Braverman described these protests as ‘hate marches’ and now her future hangs in the balance. Yet if you look at the placards being carried, many of them are blatantly anti-Semitic.
It is one thing to express concern with the loss of civilian life in Gaza which is heartbreaking for all to see, and another to call for the extermination of Israel, “from the River to the Sea.” It is inconceivable that the same hatred against Jewish People during World War 11 has returned in what seems to be with greater force. So as we remember the lives of all those who fought against tyranny so that we can live our lives in freedom, let us remember their example and be found on the right side of history.
Real Christians or false believers?
Pastor Jack Hibbs observes that “this is the moment that the Lord is separating the real Christian from the false. He is using the reality of Israel’s existence as His measuring rod. Where will you be and what side will you be on in the day of Matthew 25?”
This is the chapter in the Bible that deals with ‘Sheep and Goat nations’. It tells how Jesus will one day separate the different countries of the world based on how they have treated Him and His People. Pray that your nation will be found among the Sheep nations as we pray for the UK to do right by the State of Israel.
We believe God is calling a new generation of Mordecais and Esthers who will boldly stand against Haman. We challenge you to read the book of Esther, especially Chapter 4:14: “For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
God is committed to protecting His ancient, covenant people. He is the covenant-keeping God. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Holy One of Israel. We cannot forget that Jesus was a Jew.
Real Christians reverere the the Word of God. They uphold it as their standard. They don’t pick and choose the verses to suit themselves, especially when it comes to God’s perspective on the Jewish People.

So, if we have learned anything over this Remembrance weekend, let it be that we make a stand for what is right, what is civilised, and let us speak out against terrorism that is so barbaric we cannot even describe their actions here. As the Messianic Jewish Alliance correctly observes, “Lawlessness is a direct result of a rejection of God’s authority and righteous standard.” And we should have no part of it.
Never Again is Now event
Christians Against anti-Semitism is helped to organise a march of Christians and Jews in Central London on Sunday 19th November. Check out their website.
God’s heart is breaking for His people. His heart also aches for the Gazans who are trapped in a terrorist regime. Let us continue to pray for the Peace of Jerusalem and against the loss of civilian life. We also cry out for the release of all the hostages safely to their families.
Let us stand against lawlessness and be found to be real Christians, true believers in a day of falsehood where evil is seen to be good. The truth will prevail.
