“And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars, see that you are not troubled.” (Matthew 24:6-14).
We live in a world where we can easily feel overwhelmed, but the Bible urges us many, many times to ensure that we are not troubled or anxious. God wants us to know His perfect peace despite the storm.
What challenges do you face where you live? Evil seems to abound in every country on earth, with man inventing new ways to rebel against God and the truth of His Word.
We face the threat of war in different parts of the world. Streets are not safe in cities where crime and violence are out of control. Murder, rape and armed robbery are regularly covered in the news. Plus corruption is rife and political instability is the order of the day in several countries, even in the USA. We face many scientific endeavours that raise complex ethical considerations. For example the dangers of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and transhumanism.
However, the aim of this post is not to overwhelm you with negativity but to encourage you with the knowledge, that despite all the challenges and evil strategies we face, God still has His hand upon our lives and on our children. There are still babies being born into this world ‘for such a time as this’ and God has a plan and a purpose and a perfect timing for each one.
Walk in God’s revelation knowledge
Yes, we have the many warnings of Bible prophecy and the current startling convergence of the Signs of the Times. As Jesus predicted, there are wars currently being fought including the Russian invasion of Ukraine, as well as rumours of war including military threats from Iran against Israel; China against Taiwan etc.
Bible prophecy experts alert us to a globalist agenda at work behind the scenes to bring in a New World Order, with shadow governments in place to achieve this. How do we even begin to stand up to the powerful globalists like the World Economic Forum and their plans to reset society? This is an elitist group that boasts that they infiltrate the highest levels of Government through their leadership programmes. Their aim – to control a world where “you own nothing, but you are happy.”
As we consider our place in the End Times let us remember the words of Jesus, that He will build His Church and the Gates of Hell shall not prevail against it. (Matthew 16:18) He says this to the Apostle Peter, in the context that revelation knowledge is essential to our future existence.
Jesus asks Peter, “Who do you say I am?”
He replies You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus then observes how blessed Simon is because He has received this revelation from God, and addresses him as ‘Peter’, which means rock, confirming that on this rock of revelation knowledge, He will build His Church and nothing can stand in its way.
In these End Times, let us be in tune with the Spirit of God, hear from Heaven and walk in the revelation He gives us. This is so needed as it enables us to walk in the truth.
Good against evil, Truth against lies
Watching the news, it’s hard to determine who is telling the truth and who is lying. An example of this is all the confusion around rigged elections. In Zimbabwe, there was such hope for a change of the old guard in the recent election. Christian politicians tried their level best to overturn the systemic corruption that keeps most Zimbabweans in poverty.
However, the party that has been in power for over 40 years (Zanu-PF) was never going to accept any other result than a win for them. It seems ‘free and fair elections’ are impossible and yet there are believers who are bravely providing an alternative, trusting God to turn things around.
A new election is looming in the USA and there are many questions around whether it will be just as rigged as Zimbabwe. US politics is more divided than ever before as political opponents battle each other through the courts. This is something we have never seen before and it is rather disconcerting. This is because the USA is a world leader and what happens there is an indication of how things will roll out across the world.
There is much talk of corruption being exposed and yet this seems to come to nothing. Nevertheless, US Prophet, John Natale believes there is a coming showdown where the prophets of Baal will be exposed. Questions like ‘Was the 2020 election rigged?’ still need to be answered in many people’s minds. This in addition to many others including the original source of Covid-19 and many other considerations that point towards ‘a woke agenda’ and ‘police state’.
National leaders certainly are becoming more ungodly, often being accused of lying. Never before have nations been so politically divided and corruption is rife. Plus The scourge of human trafficking has been exposed by movies like The Sound of Freedom and we need to see more and more exposure of wickedness in high places.
See that you are not troubled or anxious
Yes, we live in challenging times, where evil seems to abound. However, God has not called us to be troubled by these things. Even the threat of a Third World War should not overwhelm us. Whatever happens, we as believers are called to watch and pray without fear, worry or concern. Ours is a mission to encourage others no matter how bleak things look.
As Jesus instructed us in John 14:1-4: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”
We have the promise that Jesus is with us and that He has a Heavenly home for us. Furthermore, in John 16:33 he says: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
