God who created us knows us best

“O LORD , you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.’ ~ Psalm 139:1,2

We often hear our elders telling us, ‘I have seen you when you were just a small baby.’ We have friends who boast, ‘No one else knows you better than I do!’ People in our life tend to feel possessive or protective about us because they are our own. Yet their claim to us is secondary. They hardly know us deep inside – the way we truly are.

The person who has first claim over us is none other than our God, our Maker. He knows every millimeter of our body, heart and soul. He has searched us inside out and knows us thoroughly. We may be able to hide our thoughts from others but with God – it is not possible to hide from Him. He knows every thought we think.

Can you imagine if any human being could really perceive your thoughts – would they really like you? Maybe not. The truth is in spite of our terrible flaws and weaknesses, our God truly loves us. He knows our inner frame, He knows our needs and even though we turn away from Him, He never turns away from us. He keeps giving us chances, He keeps calling us to Him.

We have a God who loves us unconditionally. Nothing we do can take Him away from us. He keeps looking for us waiting for us to turn back to Him, give up the wrong and embrace the right.

Prayer:

“Dear Jesus, I am honored that You love me so much. Thank you for having so much patience with me. Help me to follow you closely Lord, I need You. Help me to live a wholesome life, Amen.”
